Still not arrived. Went to see the midwife today. All is well with baby Ben, it’s just a case of any time now. If he’s not here by monday though we’re off for a scan at the hospital and possibly a sweep of the babies head to point out to him the fire exits in case of emergencies!

No signs of baby Ben yet, even though I’ve had Rach lumping heavy rocks round the rockery :0) We’ve been building up the next layer of the rockery ready for the designing and creation of the waterfall. You can check the progress in Fish Pond.

So the BBC (Baby Ben Count) goes to T plus 1. 1 day late already lazy little **** :0)

Baby Ben is due to make an appearance tomorrow but there are no signs of any action yet. Doesn’t look like he’s going to show his face today so that’s LEO out and it looks like he’s going to be a VIRGO. I just hope he arrives during the school holidays so his birthday is during the summer holidays. That would be nice and handy for future summer excursions, and it would make him the youngest in his school year. After September the 1st though would make him the oldest in his year.

Big 30 today and his last day as a smoker. So if anyone sees him with a fag (other than Marky T! ;0) you have his permission to poke him in the eye and piss in his mouth. Which is nice.

Thanks to Gaz for hosting a great Barbie at the new Chez Gaz. Very nice too, love the garden. Nice to see Kev (ornz jnr) and Lisa, but Maggit was a no show. He paid the price though with a thorough caning. I thought those kebabs were fantastic Gaz, where did you get the recipe?? :0)

Maggit’s reference to Buster Gonad, the Viz character with unfeasibly large testicles, got me thinking. Does anyone remember Roger’s Profanisaurus? Well I found an online version here. I remember reading the little paperback version I got with my Viz mag one month, I was laughing for days. It’s quality. Check it out!

Ploughed up a few weeds that needed seeing to today down the side of the house, just an excuse to have a play on the cultivator really :0) Nice to see Wez & Toni pop round after Bov bombed them out and subsequently me too!

Washing machine dudes rang up to confirm that the Miele will be arriving tomorrow, then 2 hours later rang again & decided that cos they haven’t actually got it themselves, they won’t be delivering it tomorrow after all. Here we go, I can see a 2 week wait coming on and some harsh words in their customer reviews on their website!

Washing machine arrives direct from Germany on Wednesday, which is nice as the washing pile is building rapidly.

Out tonight for a munch for Jo’s Birthday. Dad’s birthday tomorrow, Wez’s on the 22nd, Baby Ben due in 16 days and 600 cash pound notes for a washing machine. Ooh expensive month.

My Hoover washing machine’s decided not to work today. Had it to bits, checked all the basic stuff, everything’s fine. Called the repair man out and all along I had a nasty feeling he was going to say there’s something wrong with the main electronic circuit board… And he did, followed by you may as well bin it :0(

Gutted! Just saving a bit of cash to buy me & baby Ben a nice radio controlled plane & boat and the fcuking washing machine blows up. After some serious online research & review reading I decide to go for the finest and get a Miele. Fantastic reviews and renowned build quality with a hefty price tag to match. As they say though:

“Buy cheap - Buy twice”

and as the repairman said:

“If it costs you twice as much but lasts you three times as long it’s cheaper!”

Nice to see Dad & Chris pop over tonight, shame it was just a flying visit but nice to see them all the same. (Bearing more stuff for Baby Ben)

Got and assembled the wardrobe yesterday so furniture wise the nursery is about ready. Jesus, I’ve never seen so much ’stuff’!

White Rabbits. Oh my God, Is it August already. I’m gonna be a Dad this month. I’ve just had my last month ever of not being a Dad! Weird feeling. A whole new generation just weeks away. Nanas become Grandmas, Mums become nanas, brothers become Uncles, Dads will be Grandads and Rach becomes a Mum! Awesome.

Had a quick fly at tea today. Well I say fly, it was all a bit brief and Kif’s new A-10 took an early dive and sustained a bit of damage. Should be repairable though. Pics on AeroNewt.
