Gadget Heaven.

Wow check this out that I found in the latest SPORTFISH magazine…

Wristwatch echo sounder!

It’s a wristwatch echo sounder & fish finder. How cool is that! The transponder has an internal battery and sends the decoded information back to the watch display remotely so there’s no wires. You can even attach the transponder to your line and cast it out! Fantastic for checking depth and fish locations all over the lake from wherever you are fishing. With the transponder being able to float, I suppose you could just tow it behind your boat like you do the more conventional fixed type.

It may not be quite as powerful and feature rich as the hardwired Eagle Strata 128 fish finder I use:

My fish finder

But for it’s size, convenience and sheer gadgetery brilliance, I think it’s a snip at £109. I’m well tempted!

Why don’t you ask Wendy at the HSBC. I hear she’s a very nice lady and is always willing to help you out in times of need with a small overdraft facility!

Never mind Gaz, the fishing season is nearly upon us so you’ll soon be able to fish your worries away. And don’t forget, if you get in the newts’s boat, you can watch my fish finder for free. Although, you know how difficult it is to get in newts’s boat, you’ll have to get your name on the waiting list now cos everyone wants to fish with ‘the master’ ;)
